Get Your Perfect Brows in 3 Easy Steps

Brows. Eyebrows, that is. Everyone has them and everyone wants perfect brows! Shaping and filling in your eyebrows can be intimidating. But it doesn’t need to be! If you were a teen/young adult in the 1990’s you probably overplucked your eyebrows, right? And now that fuller brows are popular, you are wondering how to get that look. If you are like me, you didn’t know anything about brows or tweezing them in the 1990’s so you missed that fashion misstep. Whew! Haha! Seriously, though, a big key to my brows being so full is related to the fact that I didn’t start tweezing them until a few years ago.

My Favorite Drugstore Mascara Dupe!

Did you know that your favorite pricey mascara likely has a cheaper, drugstore duplicate? Here’s how I found my favorite drugstore mascara dupe!

A few years ago, I started experimenting with different mascaras. I’d faithfully used the L’Oreal Voluminous mascara for years and years. I liked it ok, but I was curious if there was another type and brand out there that would give me a bit more definition in my lashes, help them to look longer, and more full.

Here’s my disclaimer–I naturally have long, curly eyelashes. Don’t hate me. lol. My issue has always been that my lashes are long, but they also turn blonde at the tips. This means that I can’t go without mascara without looking very different! I know I’m not the only one who struggles with this, I’m sure.

Deep Crease Eyeshadow Technique

Have you ever done something and didn’t realize there was a name for it? I know I’ve done that at least a few times. This deep crease eyeshadow technique is one of those times. I learned how to do this technique pretty early on in my makeup ‘journey’ a few years ago. I had no idea it was an actual technique, though! Ha! So now I feel extra fancy when I demonstrate it on myself. It’s for sure my favorite method of putting on eyeshadow. Why do I love it so much? A few reasons– it’s easy to take it from day to night and it makes my eyes look bigger and emphasizes their shape.

Ombre Eyeshadow Technique

The Ombre eyeshadow technique is so much fun! I can’t believe I hadn’t done this technique before now. Doing an ombre eyeshadow look is a great way to introduce yourself to a smokey eye look. It’s like a smokey eye for beginners!

Another great thing about this Ombre eyeshadow technique is that it can be done with darker shades for a more dramatic look, or you can use softer colors for an everyday look.
